Coaching Achievements:
Junior: Coached many junior level fencers to State and National Champions in all age groups U/12, U/15, U/17, U/20 in Boys and Girls.
In 1991 Ernie coached Australia's only World Champion, Seamus Robinson in the U/17 World Championships in Foggia/Italy.
In 1993 Ernie coached Charlotte Walker, gold-medallist in a U/20 "A" grade tournament in Poland. (These are the only 2 occasions where Australian Juniors have won Major International Championships)
Head coach of the Australian Junior Fencing Team at the World Championship in Colorado/USA (1993)
Senior: Coached 5 Senior National Champions.
Assistant Coach, World Championship Budapest/Hungary(1991)
Coached Olympic Representatives for the Los Angeles (1984), Seoul (1988) and Barcelona Games (1992).
Veterans: Coached Commonwealth Veterans Foil gold-medallist Dr.Zoltan Vilagosh (Sydney 2003). |
